Four Categories of Awards are featured in ASSMO
1. ASSMO Awards
- The ASSMO Award is given for the researchers and engineers who made outstanding, sustained contributions in the field of Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization (SMO) over periods representing substantial portions of their professional careers. The awardee must be 40-59 years old on the first day of the ACSMO.
2. Fellow Awards
- The ASSMO Fellow Award is given for the researchers and engineers who made great contribution to Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization (SMO) through activities of ASSMO. The awardee must be sixty years old or older on the first day of the ACSMO.
3. Young Scientist Awawrds
- The Young Scientist Award is given for the distinguished presentations by young researchers at the Asian Congress of Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization (ACSMO). This guideline is to describe how to select awardees of the Young Scientist Award of the ASSMO. The awardee must be a person under 40 years old on the first day of the conference, and must be the first author of an oral presentation. The awardee should have either a Ph.D degree or compatible research experience in the field of structural and multidisciplinary optimization, and have prospective contribution to the research and practice in the related fields.
4. Best student Awards
- The Best Student Paper Award is given for the distinguished papers by students at the Asian Congress of Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization (ACSMO). This guideline is to describe how to select awardees of the Best Student Paper Award of the ASSMO. The awardee must be a student until March of the year of the conference, and must be the first author of an oral presentation. The awardee should have primary contribution to the contents of the paper.
