Postdoctoral Fellow Position with Expertise in Reliability Engineering, Fault Diagnostics, Prognostics, and Sensors & Signal Processing

Applications are invited for a Post-Doctoral fellowship with expertise in reliability analysis, fault diagnostics and prognostics, and sensors & signal processing at Seoul National University. The fellow will participate in one or two research projects and student advising. It is one year term contract with employee benefits. Candidates must have expertise in the following research topics:

• Reliability engineering


• Reliability-based design


• Signal processing (machine learning, wavelet, etc.)


• Sensor manipulation


• Sensor network design


• Structural health monitoring


• Fault diagnostics and prognostics

Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Mechanical/Aerospace/Civil/Nuclear Engineering


• A strong record of research accomplishments (e.g., publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals, patents)

Candidates should have first-hand experience in physics-of-failure analysis, CAD & CAE (computer-aided engineering) modeling, MATLAB coding, and/or related life testing techniques; scientific paper writing skill; experience writing proposals and presenting works at seminal events. He/she must be able to operate Microsoft Office. Preference will be given to those who have worked in the fields of reliability analysis, reliability-based design, statistical data processing, and/or health monitoring and prognostics.
